It's no big secret. What you are today, is a result of what you have thought up until now. Let's take a moment to consider this line of thinking.

Our personal identity or personality is merely a formation of; a collection of our beliefs and thoughts.

We are the way we are because of it.

For example. If I direct my conscious mind to constantly think a certain way. It will change from a thought, into a belief. And, if we believe in something strong enough, it will cause us to act and re-act in a specific way. We will act upon our thoughts based upon our own personal beliefs. If we continue along this trend, it will soon become a habit. If we do something habitually enough.... then we just are. Can you see the connection here?

This fact can easily work for or against you. Depending upon your personality.

How then, can we leverage this helpful knowledge and turn it into something useful and beneficial for us?

How can we change a deeply ingrained habit that has been stuck with us for so long?

The key lies in analyzing your core belief systems at a deeper level.

The first step in shaping your own destiny is to dig deep. Dive deep into the rabbit hole..

Analyze your way of thinking (the way you have been thinking up until now) and strip apart your logic and reasoning. From there, you will gain a deeper understanding of how your beliefs can affect you, why they affect you and what you can do about them so they have a more positive impact in your life.

One technique that I would like to share with you, my fellow avid mind voyager is this. The key is to separate your conscious mind and unconscious mind, yet make them work together in helping you to heal and shape your own destiny.

Take a moment to ponder your habits. What are some of the unique things that make you, who you are? What personality traits do you have? What causes you to do things, the way you do?
Why do you believe certain things?

One summer day. I went swimming with a group of my friends. We were having a lot of fun in the surf. The waves were strong, yet steady. The wind was blowing wistfully as we began to start swimming. Immersing ourselves into the surf. As we were mucking about, one of my friends swam past the borderline of safety where the rips where. He got stuck in a rip that made him plummet hard and fast into the depths of the surf. The waves pulling him with tremendous force that caused him to struggle as he tried to swim back to us. As we started to approach him to help him out, the waves pulled him so hard that he soon disappeared under a gigantic smash of a wave that we could no longer see him. We started to look for him in a furious panic. 'Where had he disappeared to?',  we asked each other frantically.

Half an hour had passed by in what appeared to be seconds. We still could not find our friend. He was completely gone without a trace.. We then alerted the life-guard who immediately commissioned a search team to help us locate his whereabouts. We searched fanatically for hours to no avail. He completely disappeared without a trace. I was totally devastated. Not knowing what to tell his family, or even where to begin... I was at a complete lost for words.

Because of this incident, I was scarred for life. To this day I have never returned to the surf and sea, ever again.

Can you see the relevance of my story in relation to our topic here today?

My way of thinking caused me to believe that the sea is a very dangerous place. Because of my negative past experience in relation to the cruel surf - causing me to stay away from the ocean for good.

So how can you use this lesson to apply to your own life, for your own benefit?

Analyze your beliefs. Understand your beliefs. Redirect your focus and break it down further. Dig deep!

It will reveal everything to you, in a manner that will allow you to change your life!

Change your mind, change your life. It's that simple.

This is how you can re-create your own destiny.

Forgiveness. How to gain inner peace from turmoil.


Clearly stated; is the act of excusing a mistake or prior offense made to you, personally. It is a compassionate act that will help dissolve worry and tension that's been building up inside of you through-out the years.

How many times in your life have you had someone cause you pain or suffering? Have you noticed how it made you feel? Do you find yourself re-living past experiences and having those same past experiences haunt you? Time and time again?

If you can relate to this. Then I would like to help you. This is the purpose of this article, after all.

The key to gaining inner peace is through forgiveness.

By forgiving, you absolve and resolve all the negative emotions that were connected to the event. You no longer hold any hatred in your heart. Forgiveness is an act of true compassion and should be practiced daily, like a ritual. This skill may take you a lifetime to master, depending upon your circumstances and condition.

There are many circumstances in life that are far beyond our control. The moment we realize this, the easier it becomes to forgive. So the first step in learning to forgive is to first acknowledge the event or circumstance. Next, forgive the person who wronged you. This does not mean you must be their best friend. It just means that you will no longer carry the negative emotions that continually burden and impact your life.

Allowing you, the rightful opportunity for inner peace.

How many times have you gone through life, holding onto a grudge which has caused so much hatred for someone who has wronged you in the past? It didn't feel very good did it?

This is because the mind has a habit of replaying events. Over and over again.

The impact of this is that it will cause YOU pain (and not the person that caused you pain) By forgiving someone, you totally absolve and resolve this pain completely. This is an effective way to remove some negativity from your life that has been a burden to you.

Forgiveness allows us the freedom from pain and negativity. It will also ensure that you develop a loving heart that is able to be compassionate.

The subconscious knows no boundaries.

The subconscious mind does not know the difference between imagined thought and reality.

In fact, even imagining a thought can give it enough energy to manifest something into your life. It may start off as an emotion, which could in turn, change your belief about something, which could then in turn change your life. So thoughts are very powerful creatures indeed.

This is why it is not good to feed your subconscious mind with negative thoughts, but to nurture it with positive and uplifting thoughts. Positive thoughts will evoke positive feelings. This is how we should nurture our subconscious. With thoughts that will heal us.... not harm us.

Sometimes, it's possible to not even realize that we can easily cause ourselves unnecessary harm by forever pondering on the negative.

Look up, friend. There is more to life than that!

You may find that if you can visualize yourself doing something, and doing it well. The more confidently, you will feel about actually doing it. Some may call this mental rehearsal, others may just call it plain visualization. But no matter what you may call it. Seek to visualize and re-affirm, in your mind, the positive. Let go of all the negatives that you may have surrounding you and give your negativity, no energy. Because with no energy, it simply ceases to exist..

We realize that life is energy. It is all around us. We are a big mass of energy. The sooner we can understand that energy can be manipulated to our own will and for our own benefit. We give ourselves permission to use the energy of life in a more positive way. A way that will see us grow both spiritually and mentally.

Because the subconscious knows of no boundaries. It will bring into fruition whatever it is that you sowed to it, in thought.

By action, do. By thinking, feel. By learning, absorb. By loving, give free.

An Introduction Into Lucid Dreaming - Mastering Your Dreams

Lucid dreaming is simply a fancy name for 'being conscious' whilst your asleep, dreaming.

It allows you to fully take control of your dreams. Being the director and having complete control over what you dream, what you do in your dream and most excitingly, what happens next in your dream.

In your lucid dreaming state. You can conjure up people, places, images and items. As well as empower yourself with special abilities and powers (such as flying!) In fact, if you can imagine it (in your lucid state) it will materialize and manifest itself within your dream.

Needless to say that lucid dreaming is the most fun you can have whilst asleep.

It allows you to contemplate actions, to ponder a particular problem or to see how a certain action may have specific reactions. This gives you the ability to 'problem solve' while you're sleeping. The mind is a very powerful thing.

There are also useful healing techniques for lucid dreaming. It can help you to overcome ANY phobia. To face your deepest and darkest fears in a constructive and useful way.

Ok, so now we know the basics of what lucid dreaming is. How do we achieve lucidity? How can we begin to take control of our own dreams?

It does sound a whole lot more complicated than it really is. But in essence, it's very simple to achieve lucidity.

Here are some training tips that will help you to achieve your lucid dreaming state:

1)  Start trying to remember your dreams as you wake up each morning. The moment you wake up; contemplate for a moment on what it was that you dreamt about the night before. It may be difficult at first but some people find that this is the best first stepping stone for learning lucid dreaming. This will help activate your brain for lucid dreaming. Keep a dream journal if you feel that it will help with your dream recall.

2) At different times during your every day wakeful state. Ask yourself consciously, "Am I Dreaming, Right Now?". This technique (that you practice while awake) will help you question reality during your sleeping state.

3) Say to yourself whilst dreaming (not out aloud, but in your mind) "This is a DREAM. I know that I'm dreaming and I can fully control this dream" Once your mind becomes conscious of the fact that you really are in a dream. Your lucid dreaming state will begin. Use the power of your mind to direct what happens in your dream through conscious awareness, visualization and will power.

This is my basic 3 step process to achieving a lucid dreaming state. Practice often and have fun. You can force lucidity. But it's much easier to gradually learn how to achieve the lucid dreaming state, naturally.

This one technique will make sleeping/dreaming much more fun. Almost like watching a movie (and directing it as you see fit) at the same time. It really is an exciting way to enjoy your sleeping sessions.

NLP - How To Anchor (A Useful State Of Mind)

Anchoring is the fancy name for it.

What is it you may ask?

It's a specific Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) technique that is useful for inducing a specific state of mind.

By linking an external stimuli to an internal response, we can bring about any desired useful state that we choose.

It is through conditioning (anchoring) that we can begin to create these strong associations and apply them in a useful way, into our every-day lives.

An example of an anchor may be that a certain smell or fragrance reminds you of a particular person. This is an anchor. It's a subconscious 'link' from your external experience... and internally represented by your familiar friend, to you.

Another example of an anchor in effect is when you listen to a certain song. That certain song may remind you of a certain person. This is because your unconscious mind and your conscious mind have made a 'link' between a certain stimulus (in this case a smell) and the response (your partner). 

Anchors can be formed both consciously and subconsciously (through both habit and repetition).

How To Create A (Useful) Anchor

Step 1. Defining Your (Useful) State Of Mind (in this example we'll use the emotion: happy)

Step 2. Visualization. Close your eyes, visualize and remember a time when an event that made you 'happy' and really re-experience it. Vividly in your mind. Play, repeat, play, repeat it over and over in your head. The feelings will begin to come back to you as if it's happening all over again.

Step 3. As you are visualizing. You want to anchor in this useful state by performing a very specific action. This might be by 'touching your index and middle fingers together with slight pressure' or even 'clicking your fingers'. 

It doesn't matter how or where you choose to anchor. As long as the action is very specific and memorable to you.

Step 4. Repeats steps 1-3. The more times you do it. The more you strengthen your anchor. You can set up multiple anchors on your body as long as the actions are uniquely different. You can also use all of your 5 senses when anchoring.. The more senses that are involved in the process, the more stronger your anchor will be.

      Developing Your Intuition (Your Inner Voice)

      We've all had it happen to us before.

      At one time or another in your life. You may have had an 'inner voice' tell you something. It may have been to do or to avoid something important. This is what some may usually refer to as being a 'gut' instinct.

      This is intuition.

      It's your little inner guardian that helps you along your daily way. You must learn to trust in your intuitive abilities before you can develop them.

      Knowing that it will always be there for you when you need it for guidance. You can develop your intuitive ability by being open and receptive to any 'ideas' or 'thoughts' as you brainstorm problem solving activities, creating artwork and also even whilst creating music.

      Creativity is an attribute that is also linked to highly intuitive people. So if you're a naturally creative person, there's a good chance that you are also a highly intuitive person.

      People that are intuitive learn to listen to their 'gut' instincts and follow suit.

      A great example that I wanted to share with my readers is.

      Just the other day I was driving along on the highway and suddenly I felt a strange urge to jump into the next adjacent lane. Following my intuition I did just that.

      Not long after the lane change I noticed a red Mazda 626 spinning out, crashing into the barrier wall and completely destroying itself. It was a total shock to the senses. I was in absolute awe! and quickly called the relevant authorities.

      The great news was that the driver was not badly injured but did suffer some minor wounds and bruises. But luckily for him. He left the scene, ALIVE.

      Minus the Mazda.

      This is a great example of intuition... and following your gut instincts.

      So the next time your inner voice tells your to do something... it may be in the form of a 'feeling' or even a deja vu experience. It's entirely possible. But whatever, or however it makes an appearance to you... you will know it. It's an unmistakable feeling.

      Learn to listen to your intuition. I know that it has possibly saved my life before :)

      Meditation For Mind And Body Connection

      There are plenty of different meditation styles and techniques. You should try a few different meditation techniques out and see what works best for you. It's important that you choose a mediation technique that's both comfortable and compatible to you and your posture.

      As what works best for one may not, for another :) it is however, important that you try and maintain the correct meditation posture through-out your practice sessions. At first, this may be harder done than said. But with a little practice, and a little perseverance. It's entirely possible.
      At the beginning, learn to focus on your breath to stay aware and conscious. After you master this begin to move onto delving deeper into your consciousness... exploring deeper and deeper.

      Life Energy

      When you inhale you are breathing in fresh energy. It’s good to start a meditation session by focusing on replacing all the air in your lungs, from top to bottom.

      With practice, your breathing may become very light once you are into the meditation. According to one study of a Tibetan master of meditation, meditating resulted in needing less oxygen than normal.

      Breath Basics
      There are a few simple rules to remember about breathing during meditation.
      • Don’t forget to breathe. That sounds obvious, but it’s a natural reaction for some people to hold their breath whilst concentrating. Observe your own breathing and see if you do this.
      • Breathe through your nose unless directed otherwise.
      • Start full. To begin with, breathe right down into the bottom of your lungs. You may get a head rush from the extra oxygenation, but this will pass as your breathing becomes slow and steady.
      • Easy does it. Keep if slow and steady at first. Then as your body relaxes allow your breathing to gradually increase.
      • Don’t gasp for air. As you get into the meditation your breathing should become more gentle and rhythmic. During deep meditation it should be almost imperceptible, just a delicate rising and falling.

        Binaural beats.

        Discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove. This is a phenomenon that results in low-frequency pulsations in the loudness of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately. One to each side of a subject's ears, using stereo capable headphones.

        A beating tone will be perceived, as if the two tones are mixed naturally, out of the brain. The frequency of the tones must be below about 1,000 to 1,500 hertz for the beating to be heard. The difference between the two frequencies must be small (below approximately 30 Hz) for the effect to occur; otherwise, the two tones will be heard separately and no beat will be perceived. It is an illusion brought about by the effectiveness of our own clever human minds.
